Hi everyone, I never imagined I would be in a position to ask for help, but right now my dear friend Arnaq truly needs support from her community. Arnaq, whose name means 'woman' in Yupik, has been a close friend of mine since I was 16 She was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer, and the journey through treatment has been incredibly challenging. During this time, she was forced to take out her annuity just to keep up with basic living expenses and mounting medical bills. Unfortunately, this left her without any savings, and now she is struggling to catch up financially.

Arnaq has always been hardworking and independent, but the impact of cancer has made it difficult for her to stay afloat. She has accepted a new job and is looking forward to getting back on her feet, but she hasn't received her first paycheck yet. In the meantime, she has fallen behind on two mortgage payments and essential bills needed to maintain her condo. The stress of potentially falling further behind while trying to recover from cancer has been overwhelming for her. Through it all, her loyal dog has been by her side, providing emotional support and comfort during the toughest days. She has worked her entire life and never expected to be in a position where she would need to ask for help, but this season has been especially hard.
