My name is Arnaldo Padilla-Molina, I came to the U.S from San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco around 1993. I was always healthy in my teens and early 20s, however, in 2003 I was diagnose with cancer and testing further showed I had a tumor that was spread all throughout my right kidney. This resulted in having to undergo surgery to remove my right kidney. I was able to live comfortably with only one kidney and was able to provide finically for my family during this time. But in 2019, my health began to deteriorate and in November 2020 I began dialysis. Having to forgo dialysis during a pandemic was extremely hard, however with the support and love from my family I was able to continue moving forward. In 2024, doctors unfortunately discovered another tumor. Thankfully, it was small and was successfully removed through surgery. However, because of the cancer diagnosis, I was removed from the kidney transplant list and can only be relisted after being cancer-free for at least two years. Despite my best efforts, my overall health has continued to decline, and I eventually had to stop working. My biggest expense right now, after my medical bills, is my mortgage, and after using all my savings, I’ve fallen three months behind on payments and am struggling to keep up.

I’m starting this GoFundMe after miraculously meeting Jesus (on my front door). I will always be forever grateful for his generosity and for his continued support for the Latino community. I know times are tough for everyone, especially for the Latino community, so please continue doing your best in supporting the families wrongfully detained by ICE and all the kids who have lost parents due to the current situation. After contributing to those causes, any support you’re able to extend to my family and me would have a real impact and be deeply appreciated.

Hola a todos, Mi nombre es Arnaldo Padilla-Molina, vine a los Estados Unidos desde San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco alrededor de 1993. Siempre estuve saludable en mi adolescencia y principios de los 20, sin embargo, en 2003 me diagnosticaron cáncer y las pruebas mostraron que tenía un tumor que se extendía por todo mi riñón derecho. Esto resultó en tener que someterme a una cirugía para extirpar mi riñón derecho. Pude vivir cómodamente con un solo riñón y pude mantener a mi familia durante este tiempo. Pero en 2019, mi salud comenzó a deteriorarse y en noviembre de 2020 comencé la diálisis. Tener que hacer diálisis durante una pandemia fue extremadamente difícil, sin embargo, con el apoyo y el amor de mi familia, pude seguir adelante. En 2024, los médicos lamentablemente descubrieron otro tumor. Afortunadamente, era pequeño y se extirpó con éxito mediante cirugía. Sin embargo, debido al diagnóstico de cáncer, me eliminaron de la lista de trasplantes de riñón y solo puedo volver a incluirme en la lista después de estar libre de cáncer durante al menos dos años. A pesar de mis mejores esfuerzos, mi salud general ha seguido disminuyendo y finalmente tuve que dejar de trabajar. Mi mayor gasto en este momento, después de mis facturas médicas, es mi hipoteca, y después de usar todos mis ahorros, me he atrasado tres meses en los pagos y estoy luchando por mantenerme al día. Estoy comenzando este GoFundMe después de conocer milagrosamente a Jesús. Siempre estaré eternamente agradecido por su generosidad y por su continuo apoyo a la comunidad latina. Sé que los tiempos son difíciles para todos, especialmente para la comunidad latina, así que continúe haciendo todo lo posible para apoyar a las familias detenidas injustamente por ICE y a todos los niños que han perdido a sus padres debido a la situación actual.
