Help Army Veteran SFC Kyle Draxler Recover After Life-Changing Accident
Hello friends, family, and supporters of our military community,
On April 14th, our friend and Army brother SFC Kyle Draxler—a dedicated National Guard soldier with nearly 17 years of honorable service—was involved in a horrific car accident while driving to a VA appointment. A distracted driver, texting behind the wheel, rear-ended Kyle at over 60 mph, leaving him temporarily paralyzed from the accident.
Kyle was checked into the ER, where doctors discovered that the crash obliterated multiple discs in his cervical spine—C3 through T1—compressing his spinal cord. He underwent emergency spinal surgery, which included removing damaged discs and inserting titanium plates, screws, and bone grafts to stabilize his neck. The surgery saved his life, but the road to recovery has been long and painful.
Kyle continues to battle the effects of the crash—severe traumatic brain injury (TBI), chronic nerve pain, debilitating headaches, radiating arm pain, loss of mobility and short term memory loss. He’s in and out of specialized clinics for physical therapy, neurological treatments, imaging, and follow-up care. He is unable to work—losing not just his civilian income but also lost the chance to deploy and potentially the rest of his military career.
As a father, a soldier, brother, son and a selfless leader, who has always put others first, Kyle now needs us to step up.
While he focuses on healing, his family is facing mounting financial pressure—from daily living costs to travel expenses, uncovered medical bills, and long-term care needs. Insurance doesn’t cover everything, and he’s already sacrificed so much in service to others.
We’re raising funds to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation goes directly toward Kyle’s medical expenses, rehabilitation, and supporting his family while he’s unable to work.
Please donate what you can, share this campaign, and help us give back to a man who has given so much—to his unit, his country, and his loved ones.
Thank you for supporting Kyle in his fight to heal, recover, and regain his life. Not only for his friends and family, but for himself.
Sincerely,
Ricardo
