Help Arlo's family during this hard financial time
Update! After his second heart procedure, he is finally home and has reached nearly 10 pounds! He will need to see various specialists weekly, and while we managed to purchase an affordable car, it unfortunately has some issues. The engine runs very roughly. It nearly stalls every minute or two when idling at red lights or in park and our passenger window malfunctioned and fell into the door. We attempted to secure it with duct tape, but it keeps coming loose. We urgently need a reliable vehicle to transport our son to his appointments, including a swallow study to check for aspiration. He also has a scheduled procedure to switch from an NG tube to a button, but due to his other health concerns, he will need to stay in the hospital for two days afterward. Any contributions to this fund will go directly toward fixing or purchasing a dependable vehicle and paying his medical bills. Thank you to everyone who has already helped and to those who will in the future!.
My name is Siege McLaughlin, and my family is facing an incredibly challenging situation. Our son, Arlo, was born at 34 weeks due to severe preeclampsia and is currently in the NICU, battling not only heart problems but also twelve other diagnoses. He underwent his first surgery just two days after birth, and we have been visiting him daily until three days ago when my car broke down. After a thorough diagnosis, the mechanic informed me that the repairs needed are extensive, including a new transmission, wheel bearings, and more. This vehicle is our only means of transportation, and without it, we cannot visit Arlo or attend his upcoming medical appointments. As the sole provider for our family, I am overwhelmed by the financial burden of these repairs, especially with my wife staying home to care for our son once he is discharged.
