Help Arlette Host Ukranian Families in Germany
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Clarissa, and my mother owns a few houses in a quiet German town Friesoythe. We immediately knew we wanted to help when the war started in Ukraine. So far, we have hosted six families and can accommodate more. Twenty people and one dog are safe in Arlette's houses; they are staying together and helping each other through these terrible times.
Before the war, the houses were not in living condition except her own house. However, these families have come together and are helping each other make these houses feel like home by bringing furniture, cooking for each other and having the children play together to get through the challenging situation.
We are helping the families register, start children at school, help children with special needs, learn the new language and study new careers. Some families have had to flee for the second time, as some are from Donetsk. Some of them have their husbands still in Ukraine, and some were able to escape due to disability/large family sizes and are hoping to build a new life abroad. Our goal is to help at least 60 Ukrainian refugees. Many volunteers in the village were generous enough to bring mattresses clothes and help set up the houses. However, we ask for help to help these families stay in safety warmth and get through this together.
