My partner and I are new to Maxwell Park and the neighbors on our street have made moving here an absolute joy.

 

Arleta lives across the street, and she has been so kind and welcoming. She has welcomed us with stories of the neighborhood (she's been here 20 years!), kept a look out for us as we remodel our home, and brings such joy every time we see her.

 

Arleta was diagnosed with breast cancer this year and has been under going treatments. She doesn't qualify for medical leave, and she has continued to work throughout her treatments despite how difficult it has been. It breaks my heart to see her worry about bills, during a time that she should be able to fully rest and heal. If each of us can spare a little during this holiday season, we can give a gift that is truly meaningful.
