Help Arlene Boswell Fight Cancer

Today has been the hardest day. I saw my mother, the strongest woman I have ever known, give up. My whole life I never saw her quit. Through the passing of my father, raising my sisters and I without him, the 70+ hour work weeks at Cortinas, she never faltered. But today, sitting in the doctor's office, being diagnosed with Stage Four Cancer I saw her give up. I'm not ashamed to say that it broke me. I am broken. I cannot imagine a world without Arlene Boswell in it, and for those of you who know her, whose lives she has touched, you will understand. 

We are a proud family, my mom most of all, and I never thought there would be a day when I would ask for help, but I am asking you now. Please help my mom be strong again.

On Monday my mom will go into surgery to try to remove the numerous tumors throughout her abdomen. Unfortunately, her insurance will only cover a portion and $12,000 needs to be paid out of pocket, with the initial $6,000 due before surgery can even be performed. Even with best case scenario post-surgery, the road to recovery will be long, painful, and expensive. My mom was forced to relocate back from Florida to get the best possible care here in NJ and needless to say she will be out of work for the time being. Any contribution to help reach our goal and allow her some peace of mind will be so greatly appreciated.
