For the past 10 years, Ark Wildlife Park has been a last chance for animals who had nowhere else to go.
From meerkats and servals to caiman, raccoons, and foxes, Ark provides permanent, loving homes to animals rescued from the exotic pet trade and from poor or illegal conditions. Many of these animals cannot be released into the wild and depend entirely on specialist, professional care for the rest of their lives.
The dedication and impact of Ark’s work has not gone unnoticed. Ark Wildlife Park has twice been awarded a BBC Make a Difference Award in the Animal Welfare category, recognising the vital role the team plays in rescuing and protecting vulnerable animals.
Ark has always worked hard to be self-sustaining, funding this essential rescue work by opening to the public as a zoo. However, the ongoing cost of living crisis in the UK has had a serious impact on tourism, at the same time, demand for our rescue services has never been greater.
We are now being asked to step in and help more animals than ever before—while continuing to provide professional, round-the-clock care for over 200 animals who already call the Ark home.
Every new rescue requires expensive, purpose-built enclosures, specialist diets, veterinary treatment, and dedicated staff time. These costs are unavoidable if we are to give each animal a safe, secure, and enriching environment for life.
Without additional support, our ability to help future rescues is at risk.
Your donation will directly help us:
Care for the 200+ animals already living at the Ark
Build and upgrade specialist enclosures for rescued animals
Respond to urgent cases where animals have nowhere else to go
Continue providing lifelong, professional care to animals who depend on us
By supporting this fundraiser, you are helping abused, neglected, and unwanted animals find safety, dignity, and a future they never would have had otherwise.
Every donation—no matter the size—makes a real difference.
Thank you for helping us keep the Ark a place of safety, care, compassion, and hope.
