We’re reaching out to ask for your help in supporting a truly remarkable young man — Arjun, whose life has taken a heartbreaking turn.
Just like thousands of other Nepalese youngsters, Arjun came to the UK from Nepal in 2020 for further studies with a dream to build a better future for himself and his family. He studied at the University of West London and managed to graduate with First class honours in Business Studies. He polished his English by watching Harry Potter films repeatedly — a small but powerful testament to his determination and resilience.
While studying, Arjun also worked as a carer in a nursing home, where I had the privilege of working alongside him. He quickly became known as one of the most genuine, kind-hearted, and compassionate people on the team. He had a natural gift for making people feel safe and cared for, and both residents and staff deeply valued him. Arjun always put others before himself, never seeking praise or recognition — just doing what he felt was right.
After graduating, Arjun was excited to finally start full-time work and begin repaying his student loans while supporting his family back home. But just a few months later, in July 2024, his life changed dramatically. He was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumour (GIST). By the time it was discovered, the cancer had already spread to his liver, and he was told he had Stage 4 cancer.
Since then, Arjun has undergone multiple treatments, including major surgeries. In January 2025, he had 60% of his liver removed to stop the spread of the disease. He also began a course of lifelong chemotherapy, enduring the severe side effects with incredible bravery. Despite all this, Arjun has never stopped fighting.
Following his surgery in March 2025, Arjun returned to Nepal to be with his family and continue treatment. His return home was also prompted by another devastating reality — his mother is now battling terminal cancer. Being with her during this time has been both emotionally important and deeply painful.

Today, Arjun is facing a second battle: the crushing weight of financial hardship. Without a steady income since mid-2024, and now confronted with high medical costs in Nepal, he is struggling to cover basic living expenses, medication, and ongoing treatment. Despite everything, Arjun remains hopeful, determined to recover, and committed to rebuilding his future.
This is where your kindness can make a real difference.
Arjun has spent his life giving care and compassion to others. Now, he needs that care from us. Your support will help fund his treatment, medications, and daily necessities while he continues this difficult journey.

Even the smallest donation can bring him one step closer to healing — and to hope. Please, consider supporting Arjun and sharing his story with others who might be able to help.
Let’s stand by him in his time of need and remind him that he is not alone in this fight.
Thank you for your compassion.
