My name is Vinay Kashyap, and I am raising funds to support my family back in India after the sudden and tragic loss of my father, Arjun Prasad.

My dad came to Canada as a new immigrant around nine months ago, leaving behind my mom, my sister Jyoti (24 years old), and me (22 years old) to provide for our basic necessities. He worked tirelessly as a ride-share driver to support us financially, embracing the opportunities this beautiful country offered.

On the early morning of July 13, 2024, my father experienced severe chest pain and called 911 for immediate assistance. Despite the paramedics’ timely arrival and their efforts to save him, he suffered a major heart attack on the way to the hospital. After an hour of trying to revive him, the doctors declared him dead due to the heart attack.

My father was only 50 years old and had been planning to save money this year to arrange my sister’s marriage. Unfortunately, our family does not have Canadian visas to come here and perform the last rites as per Hindu culture, which is another heartbreak for us.

With the sudden loss of our main earning member and the backbone of our family, we are now in a dire financial situation. We need your support to provide emergency funds for our family
