My name is Ariyanna Lampley, and I am a post-operative transgender woman, artist, and survivor from Pensacola, Florida. I am a musician and actress working to build a future rooted in safety, creativity, and purpose.

I spent 11 years of my life incarcerated, an experience that continues to affect my ability to move forward despite my efforts to rebuild. Since my release, I have faced ongoing systemic barriers, discrimination, and instability—particularly as a transgender woman living in Florida.

I have actively sought employment since returning home. Many employers initially offer me positions, but once my background check is completed, those opportunities are withdrawn. This cycle has made it extremely difficult to gain financial stability or get ahead, no matter how hard I try. It often feels as though my past is being used to permanently block my future.

In addition to employment barriers, I have experienced mistreatment within the judicial system and marginalization within my community. Living in Florida as a formerly incarcerated transgender woman has proven to be unsafe, unsustainable, and emotionally exhausting. Despite doing everything in my power to move forward responsibly, the environment here makes it incredibly hard to thrive—or even survive.

Even through all of this, I have continued to uplift others—especially women—by offering guidance, encouragement, and support. I have pursued my creative goals independently, without financial backing, management, or outside assistance. Everything I have done, I have done on my own.

At this point, relocating to a different state is necessary for my safety, stability, and future. I am seeking help to move to a more affirming environment where I can access opportunity, secure employment, and continue pursuing my dreams as a musician and actress.

Funds raised will go toward relocation costs, initial housing, transportation, and basic necessities as I start over from scratch. I am not asking for luxury—only for the opportunity to rebuild my life with dignity in a place where my identity and my past do not permanently define or limit me.
