My name is Ariel, and I’m reaching out for help during a very difficult time for my family. On June 12th, my dad was taken by ICE agents and held for six and a half months. During that time, I did everything I could to keep our construction company running, but it became impossible to manage on my own. My dad was finally released on December 17th, but the experience has left him fearful and unable to return to work.

Now, I am the only one working in my family, trying to support everyone and keep us afloat. I also go to school, but dealing with my family's economy and my education gets very complicated. The bills and rent keep coming, and despite my best efforts, I can’t do this alone. These funds will help us cover our basic needs while we try to rebuild and find stability again.
