My name is Arielle, and I’m 21 years old. I’m reaching out because I’m facing eviction with my one-year-old daughter. Recently, I was in a car accident needing medical attention. I tried to keep going, even clocking in for work right after the accident, but I ended up in the hospital after I almost passed out. Because of this, I lost my job and things have spiraled quickly.
Yesterday, the sheriff came to our door with a three-day eviction notice. We have until Saturday to find a way to stay in our home. I’ve called 211, reached out to local townships, and asked everyone I know for help, but I haven’t been able to get the support we need. I don’t have family or friends who can step in, and this is my last option before having to go to a shelter with my baby.
I’m asking for any help you can give to help us stay in our apartment and keep a roof over our heads. Every dollar will go directly toward rent and keeping my daughter and me safe. Thank you for reading and for any support you can offer, even if it’s just sharing our story.
