Help Arielle Graduate: Support My Final Semester Journey
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Arielle Dickerson, a senior at Morgan State University majoring in Strategic Communications. I’m reaching out with an open heart to share my story and ask for your support during this critical moment in my life.
Attending Morgan State University has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. My college journey has been about combining creativity, strategy, and storytelling to make a lasting impact. My ultimate goal is to work in Sports Social Responsibility and Player Development, where I can use my skills to tell meaningful stories, create positive change, and help young people uncover their potential.
But this vision didn’t come easily. When I transferred to Morgan in 2020, I was excited to embrace this new chapter, but personal and family challenges made my first semester incredibly tough. I ended up with a 0.5 GPA—a low point that made me question everything. Instead of giving up, I fought to rebuild my academic standing, leaning on hard work, self-discipline, and the support of mentors and trusted friends.
Today, I’m proud to have earned a 3.58 GPA, be a four-time Dean’s List honoree, and even see my photo displayed on Morgan’s achievement wall. A powerful reminder of how far I’ve come.
This final semester represents the culmination of my journey, but I’m facing significant financial hardships that threaten my ability to graduate.
I’m currently three months behind on rent for my off-campus housing and have no viable place to stay for my last semester. Additionally, I need assistance covering tuition and housing costs for the Spring 2025 semester.
The breakdown of my needs is as follows:
Rent (past-due and final month): $3,150
Tuition: $1,264
Spring housing (student housing option): $6,293
Altogether, I need to raise $10,707 to cover these costs.
Why Your Help Matters
Graduating in May 2025 is my dream, and I’ve worked tirelessly to get this far. I’ve exhausted all my financial aid options and am working on freelance projects to bridge the gap, but it’s not enough to meet these urgent needs. I’m truly doing this alone and would be deeply grateful for any assistance, big or small, to help me finish this chapter and step into the next phase of my journey.
How You Can Help
Your support will help me:
1. Pay overdue rent and secure stable housing for my final semester.
2. Cover tuition fees so I can remain enrolled.
3. Focus on graduating and building a future where I can give back to my community.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Whether through donations, sharing this fundraiser, or keeping me in your thoughts, your kindness means the world to me.
With gratitude,
Arielle Dickerson
