Help Arielle Cover Latitude 35 Rowers In Hawaii

Hello everyone! I am Jen, Arielle/ @Schmittly's behind-the-scenes supportive wife. Arielle feels so lucky to have so many people share her enthusiasm as she covers Latitude 35 Rowers break the World record! The idea of possibly covering these 4 impressive women's journeys ending in Hawaii first came up when a very generous person related to one of the rowers reached out to Arielle and offered to cover part of her travel expenses. This was very unexpected, and the first time Arielle has ever received such a generous offer, so she needed time to think about if she could be comfortable accepting something so significant from someone whose never even met her. THEN during Arielle's first TikTok Live so many of you said that she should go to Hawaii to create even more videos, and help you all feel like you're right there with her by going "Live" as the Latitude 35 rowers arrive, and asked us to to make this GoFundMe so that some of you could help make this all possible, so here it is! GoFundMe does charge a small fee per donation, so if you feel compelled to contribute (which there is absolutely no pressure to do) but would rather avoid this fee being deducted, Arielle has the same user name on Venmo as she does on TikTok (@schmittly) - and her photo there is of her in a black raincoat/poncho.
In the interest of being completely transparent, because we honestly both feel kind of awkward letting people who've never even MET Arielle offer to fund her trip to cover this event, I wanted to break down how I came to this goal $ amount:
- The amount includes an estimate of about $1000 for round-trip economy airfare from South Bend Indiana to Oahu (according to Google Flights)
- and because Arielle has to give a 1-2 day "cushion" before and after the team's anticipated arrival date to make sure she doesn't miss it, the goal also includes an estimated week's worth of average room & board accommodations in Oahu (not camping in a tent on the beach, but also not staying in a luxury hotel) from www.budgetyourtrip.com
- also, since people are able to contribute outside of GoFundMe, I'll be reducing the goal $ amount on this page at least a couple of times a day to account for the donations received via Venmo. We're not ok with accepting more than what is reasonably needed to pay for this trip, because $2,900 total is already beyond generous enough, and we're not the kind of garbage people who are ok with exploiting peoples' kindness ;) haha!
Seriously though, I want to thank you all for supporting Arielle while she brings attention to this inspiring Latitude 35 team's incredible journey! She truly enjoys making these videos, answering your questions, and reading each one of your comments. She struggles to find the words to express her gratitude for everyone's support and encouragement to continue creating/sharing this content through to the very end, but I want to let you know how much it means to her (and me).
