Hi folks! I'm Shoshana and I'm reaching out to raise money for my good friend Ariella Kadosh. Ariella is a peer councilor for those with mental health issues and those who are homeless. She is also an amazing artist, disability advocate and consultant, and an outspoken champion for mental health visibility and inclusion. Ariella works hard all the time to help others.
And she recently fell and broke her foot on her way to work.
Thanks to the break Ariella has to stay off her leg and can't go to her job as her office is spread over five floors with no available elevator. Due to the damage to the foot, her doctors have mandated she won't be able to return to work until at least November 5th. Ariella also doesn't have any paid leave time left so without her job she'll have no money coming in. And this is where she needs your help.
Ariella needs $1500 to get the bare necessities for herself and her three glorious cats (Lenna, Thor, and Midknight) and make sure her bills are paid.
By donating to helping Ariella, you'll be assisting someone who spends their entire career and most of their life helping others. The broken foot has made navigating basic movement around even her apartment difficult and due to her neurodivergency (Ariella lives with schizophrenia) she has developed severe anxiety about being outside the house with such limited safe mobility. It is medically unsafe for her to go out alone as well without help or a mobility aid. While the $1500 will help pay her basic bills, any further money will contribute to getting a rollator to help her travel outside the house as needed.
In the thirty years I've known Ariella, I have never known someone who works harder to extend themselves to help others. She extends her empathy and her energy to help those in need to get the care they need. And now she needs us to give back a little to help her get through her healing. Where she has been the support for so many people, let us be her support in her time of need.
Please consider donating - every little bit helps. If you can't donate, then please share this fundraiser as you can. Ariella will be sharing updates as her recuperation progresses so you can keep up on this fundraiser. Thank you for reading and let's get Ariella the support she needs.
