My name is Ariel, and I am a mother of three beautiful daughters doing everything I can to keep my family together during the hardest time of our lives. Over the last year and a half, I lost my job and have struggled to find stable work despite constantly applying and trying to stay hopeful. Financially, things have completely fallen apart. I am now facing homelessness within the next week and a half with my three children, our two dogs, and our cat. My animals are family to us, and I cannot bring myself to abandon them during this nightmare. Right now, both of my vehicles are broken down, which has made everything even harder. I do not know how I’m going to get my children to school, help their father get to work, move our belongings, or even get to job interviews and appointments.
I’m trying to figure out how to pay for towing, repairs, a moving truck, a storage unit, and temporary hotel costs while also trying to secure a new home for my children. To move into a new place, I need help covering a security deposit, first month’s rent, and other moving expenses that are far beyond what I can afford right now. On top of that, I am terrified of losing the little stability my children still have. Once we lose our home, I may also lose food assistance, which makes this even more overwhelming. I never imagined I would be in a position where I had to ask for help like this, but I am swallowing my pride for my children.
Every dollar donated will go directly toward keeping a roof over our heads, getting transportation back, and helping my family stay together while I work to get back on my feet. If you cannot donate, even sharing this would mean the world to us. Thank you for reading our story, for your kindness, and for giving my daughters and me a little bit of hope during such a dark time.
