Help Ariel and Kids Start Fresh in Atlanta
Donation protected
Hey there! To those who know me well, I don’t like asking for help. Yet I find myself humbly and somewhat embarrassingly asking for your help now.
My lease is up at the end of September and after much thought and deliberation, I have come to the decision to move myself and my two kids back to Atlanta.
My current situation is not sustainable financially. Child support has been incredibly erratic and the sole financial burden of being a single mom to two kids has me by the balls, so to speak.
The plan is to move in with my Mother, who will help provide a roof over our heads as well as the emotional support I could really use while raising my kids. For whatever reasons I’ll never understand, their Fathers have limited, if any, relationships to them.
From the outside I can look at this as a failure. I am 48, wait tables for a living, and have two kids from different dads who provide little to none in terms of emotional and financial assistance. However, I believe in myself and I want my children to see that having the strength and courage to make drastic changes and ask for help when needed can lead to a happier place in life.
I need the greater financial opportunities my hometown can provide. The issue I’m having is actually paying for this move. I live paycheck to paycheck depending on tips. The movers, gas and hotel on the drive down to Atlanta fall around $3500.
If you feel compelled to donate $5 or $10 to my life changing move, I would truly be forever grateful for your contribution. At this point, 5 bucks is money towards a tank of gas that I currently don’t have lol.
Thank you so much for reading my long winded plea!
Love you all,
Ariel
