Help Arie Trotter Heal from Severe Burns

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Community Members,

On May 17, 2025, my sister-in-love Arie Trotter (Harris) was involved in a freak wind grease accident. On that day, she was volunteering at her niece's track meet frying fish when the unimaginable occurred. She was medivac from the scene and flown to Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Intensive Care Unit. Arie suffered nerve damage, and third degree burns on from her lower stomach to her feet, both legs front and back. Arie has undergone numerous surgeries. Her road to recovery will be long and there's a lot of uncertainty. This has been one of the hardest times of our lives, especially after losing my mother and her mother-in-love this past October. As a family, we're all trying to do our part to keep some normalcy and relieve stress because of the unknown road ahead. If you know my sister, you'd agree that she's the most honest, loving, caring, faithful person and strongest prayer warrior you know.

I’ve created a GoFundMe to raise money to help cover the incurred medical bills and future rehabilitation expenses. Your generosity and support are very much appreciated.

From the very first call and text to the countless prayers that still surround us, we know my sister is wrapped —and all of us—in so much love. Knowing that you are checking in on her, cheering her on, and lifting her name in prayer has been a lifeline during the hardest moments of her fight to heal from third‑degree burns. This road to recovery is long and often painful, but every message, call, and whispered blessing reminds us we are not walking it alone. Your words of comfort steady our hearts; your faith strengthens our resolve; your generosity lightens burdens we could never carry on our own.

Thank you for being her village. Thank you for being OUR village. We feel your kindness in the quiet hours of the night, in each bandage change, and in every small step forward she takes. Please keep those prayers coming—they are powerful. We can’t wait to celebrate her full recovery with the very people who helped make it possible.

With deepest gratitude and love,
