This is Zari Keifenheim and I'm looking for help with my daughter Ariana Keifenheim's upcoming brain surgery in April. I'm reaching out for help with unexpected medical expenses and assistance and help with hospital stay.
Help Ariana Afford Lifesaving Open Brain Surgery.
Some background;
In early 2025 Ariana started getting severe headaches, dizziness, brain fog and fainting spells. These persisted with no known cause, until December 16th of 2025 when she went to the emergency room with what she thought to be a stroke. She had one-sided numbness, one-sided weakness, dizziness, slurred speech, headache and dilated eyes.
A CT scan revealed a colloid cyst located in the third ventricle of the brain. An MRI scan then confirmed it. This type of colloid cyst at it's size is life threatening and extremely rare, affecting only 3 in a million people worldwide.
This cyst is causing a partial obstruction of the Foramen of Monro, which causes a buildup of brain fluid. Because this is life threatening, the cyst needs to be removed as fast as possible. A craniotomy surgery is scheduled for early April.
The surgery is high risk, and if it is successful Ariana may still struggle with things like memory, mobility and physical independence. She may not be able to walk normally again.
Your donation will help cover medical expenses, medical equipment, as well as any time off of work family members may need to take to help Ariana recover after her surgery.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this page. Every share brings us one step closer to getting Ariana the care she needs.
Thank you.
