I am a mother of five beautiful children and a grandmother to one. For most of my adult life, I have battled serious chronic health conditions. At 22, I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis, which meant I needed six laparoscopies and several courses of medication just to have my children. While I am deeply grateful for each of them, the many surgeries and years of waiting for a hysterectomy have left me with significant scarring and adhesions. Now, I am also facing several fibroids that cause severe pain, anemia, and constant disruption to my life. The bleeding is so severe that I have been told to come to the ER multiple times a day.
On top of my health struggles, I was forced to file for divorce due to my ex-husband’s abusive actions against me. Because I spoke out, he has retaliated with a civil lawsuit and is weaponizing the courts. The constant struggle to recover from the consequences of his actions, while trying to protect myself from further vindictive attacks, is draining what little money, time, energy, and resources I have left.
I need a complicated hysterectomy, but the costs are overwhelming. I have medical insurance through my job, but the copays, lost wages, and extra expenses are more than I can manage, especially with the ongoing legal battles. I have to take more time off than I have saved, and the constant doctor and ER visits are making things even harder. As my ER doctor said, this is no longer an elective surgery—it's a necessity.
I have never asked for help before, but I have truly run out of options. My children deserve the chance to grow up with their mother, and I want to be there for them. I would be grateful beyond words for any help—whether it's a donation, prayers, positive thoughts, advice, or simply sharing my story. Thank you for taking the time to read and support me during this difficult time.
