Help Ariana fight Osteosarcoma

Ariana is 12 years old and is very active. She loves Tik Tok, her friends and her dog Colby. She is very funny and smart! She plays basketball and softball.
During her basketball season she complained of knee pain. She was seen by her doctor in March and he did not find any pulled muscle or broken bone so he sent her to Physical Therapy and called it Patellar Tendinitis. She went to Therapy and her therapist noticed that the swelling was not going down and advised for her knee to be imaged. After the X-RAY she was immediately sent to get an MRI and CT Scan. Shortly after is when we found out that she had a mass in her left knee. On May 24 she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma.
Osteosarcoma is a cancerous tumor that develops from osteoblasts. It frequently starts in the ends of the long bones such as the bones in the arms and legs. It often occurs in children and young adults between the ages of 10 and 20.
Ariana’s cancer will be treated with Chemotherapy followed by Surgery, then more Chemotherapy. All of her Chemotherapy is given while she is admitted in the hospital.
On July 12th Ariana received difficult news, the Orthopedic Surgeon told her he was not able to surgically remove the tumor with amputation. Although this was difficult news to hear, we have to remember the goal is to remove the cancer and keep her alive!
After surgery she will have some time to heal but will resume Chemotherapy and she will be starting 7th grade virtually. Ariana will have to also dedicate her time into her physical therapy so she can learn how to walk with a prosthetic.
With this fundraiser, I would like to show Ariana all the support she has! Throughout this journey and her long road to recovery…she is going to need nothing but love and support!
