Two days ago, my sweet dog Aria suddenly stopped eating and became extremely lethargic. That night, she wouldn’t even go on her favorite walk, and I noticed a bump on her shoulder had grown massive and felt hot to the touch. By morning, Aria couldn’t walk at all, which is heartbreaking because our morning walks are her favorite ritual. I immediately cancelled my Christmas trip so I could stay by her side and get her the care she needs. The veterinarians have been running tests and sent out for more information, but so far, Aria seems to be getting worse, not better. The uncertainty and watching her struggle is incredibly scary, and the medical bills are piling up quickly. I want to make sure I can do everything possible for Aria without having to make choices based on lack of funds. The costs include vet visits, X-rays, cytology, medicine, an internal medicine specialist, emergency fees, surgery, bloodwork, and more.
