Aria Cenatiempo is a brave and strong four-year-old who has already faced more than most people do in a lifetime. Born with Tetralogy of Fallot, Aria underwent her first open heart surgery at just 8 weeks old. After waiting several years to grow stronger, she had a second open heart surgery at age four. At first, her family believed that procedure had been successful, but follow-up scans revealed that the valve placement had not worked as hoped and was causing serious complications, including liver issues. A CT scan then showed that the new valve was pinching Aria’s coronary artery. It was truly a miracle that Aria made it through those two weeks, and she was rushed into emergency open heart surgery to replace the valve.
After holding onto hope once again, the Cenatiempo family learned this week that this surgery was also not successful, and more surgeries or procedures may now be ahead. They may need to travel to Boston to seek specialists and the best possible care for Aria as they navigate these next steps. The family has already covered so many expenses out of pocket after reaching the maximum from their health share program, and donations will help with mounting medical bills and possible travel costs for specialist care. Aria’s family is also asking for prayers, trusted specialist referrals, and any support you feel led to give. Please consider helping Aria and the Cenatiempo family through this incredibly difficult and uncertain time.
