Help My Sister’s Family Rebuild After Flooding in San Angelo, TX

Hi, my name is Kelsey Sewell, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my sister Brittany Arhelger, her spouse, Louie Arhelger, and their children, who live in San Angelo, Texas.

On July 4th, their home was devastated by flash flooding caused by the severe storms that hit the area. Water entered their home quickly and forcefully, damaging flooring, drywall, furniture, clothing, appliances. Most of their belongings were destroyed or heavily damaged. The home is now unlivable due to water damage and rapidly growing mold.

To make things worse, their homeowner’s insurance has denied coverage. That means they are now left to face all of these costs alone. As if losing nearly everything to the flood wasn’t painful enough, their home was also looted in the days that followed.

What They’ve Lost:

• Floors, drywall, baseboards, and insulation

• Furniture

• Major appliances (washer/dryer, refrigerator, oven)

• A safe place to live — they are now staying with relatives

How the Funds Will Be Used:

• Professional water removal, mold remediation, and structural repairs

• Replacing lost household items (beds, furniture, appliances)

• Purchasing clothing and essentials for their children

• Temporary housing and living expenses while the home is uninhabitable

• Contractor and labor costs for safe reconstruction
