My Archer was attacked by our female dog on Monday 12/29. His left side between his belly and hind leg was ripped open and needed stitches. It’s in a very problematic area because it’s where his belly and leg connect, any movement puts tension on that area. He is currently on strict crate rest for the next 2 weeks. As you can imagine he is in a lot of pain and my Velcro baby hates not being able to be with his people.
He just underwent his second procedure today to close up the stitches that popped open from Mondays initial procedure. They had to re-sedate, re-stitch, and bandage him in hopes this helps the wound stay closed this time around. Of course, the second procedure added more to our plate financially than we originally intended.
Yes, we have care credit and are utilizing it. The costs for this incident have now totaled to be just shy of $3,000, which as you can imagine is incredibly stressful in this current economy. If you are able to donate to help Archie in any way, we would be eternally grateful. If not, I completely understand and appreciate you reading anyway.
Thank you all ❤️
