Update: the vet wants to try doing a medical approach before surgery. Archer has a unique case of pannus where his immune system is attacking his third eye lid causing the condition you see in the picture. They have warned me that his eye medicine may be a life long condition. I have to medicate his eyes twice a day which is difficult with my schedule. Thank you everyone for everything. I will try to update in two weeks with some progress. If the medication doesn’t work, it will be surgery which will be a lot more expensive than anticipated. So please cross your fingers.
Hello, I am trying to get surgery for my dog’s, Archer, eyes. He has been in our family for the past 8 years. He is also part of my dynamic duo of working dogs. He helps protect my small farm from anything and everything but this injury is making it difficult to do what he loves. I know I don’t have the extra money for this weird circumstance so I am doing something I don’t do, I’m asking for help. If I can’t raise the money I will probably just have to put him down because I just don’t have the money for such a surgery. Being a teacher just means I do it for the fame and glory and not the money, right. If you can help, I truly appreciate it. If you can’t, believe me I understand. Thank you
