Hi, my name is Desseria and I’m fundraising for April Pickett. April is a close friend/colleague of mine. She and I have worked at the same hair salon for 6+ years. April had a transient ischemic attack (TIA) or “mini stroke” on July 30th. I am creating this fundraiser in hopes to help relieve any of April’s medical or personal finances while she is unable to work. Unfortunately the stroke has affected her vision in one of her eyes affecting her balance and depth perception. April is a widow and also a child of god, she is staying extremely positive in hopes of recovering. As a hairstylist myself I know that when we are unable to stand behind our chair there is no income. We have no sick leave or paid vacation to lean on.
