Help April Kick Breast Cancer's A$$

I have created this fundraiser to help my dear friend April. She is one of the kindest people I know and the glue that keeps her family together. This battle is a very personal one and the only words that will do her justice are her own. Here is her story:

On June 10, 2021, we heard those words that no one ever wants to here your doctor say: "I'm sorry but your biopsy is positive for Cancer!"

Hi, my name is April Blunt; I'm 42 years old, a wife, a mother of 4, and I was just told that I have an aggressive type of Breast Cancer called, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.

And it is spreading very quickly.

Our lives were understandably turned completely upside down that day and everyday since then. In the past month I've had ever type of mammogram, Ultrasounds, CTs, a few MRIs, Heart scans, Bone scans, organ scans, lab work, and a couple of biopsies, and I'm sure there may be more that I'm leaving out? It's all become quite blurry…

Most days I am booked out for 2-3 appointments a day.

I have a VERY long and VERY hard road ahead of me. But I can do this! With the support of our loving family, friends, neighbors, and God willing, a little help from our community—we will get through this.

Around the time that COVID hit last year, my husband and I made some big life changes—everything was working our great—until Cancer hit.

I've literally had multiple doctors appointments a day since the day they imaged the lump for the first time. And now I'm doing chemotherapy. I can't physically work so my husband decided he would except…who's going to take care of me? I can't drive (I’m on too many medications that cause extreme drowsiness related to the cancer) and who's going to take care of our kids? (Driving to 2 different schools, homeschooling part time and in-person part time on different schedules?) Who's going to care for my disabled mom (who lives with us) and drive everyone to ALL of our appointments?

Who's caring for our family?

So, to say we need some help right now is an understatement. I'm not too proud to ask. Desperate times call for desperate measures. And anything helps.

All our Love, The Blunt Family
