Help April in Paris recover from Burglary

Thank you for taking the time to hear our plea and consider helping us in our most dire time of need. We (April in Paris | Amblard Leather Atelier) have been located on Clement St for the last 20 years and we have never experienced this type of continued loss. We've had to close our doors and halt all classes on March 17 until June 2nd due to the mandatory "shelter in pace". We experienced our 1st burglary in Sept of 2016 and now again, the 2nd, on Sunday, June 7th.
Each item at April in Paris is handmade with century old techniques and traditions. Beatrice and her daughter, Amelie, have spent countless hours handcrafting and perfecting each unique handbag. It broke our hearts to see how our hard work and passion was being tossed around like it was worthless.
As this is our second break-in in 4 years and we were severely hit financially with our store left almost completely empty both times.
We are trying to raise money to:
- replace our shattered door: Cost is approximately $2000
- install a security gate: Quotes to install a security gate range from $15,000 to $20,000
- install curtains to hide our merchandise: Cost is approximately $1500
Although we are located in a safe neighborhood sadly in the last 5 years crime has been on the rise. We would like to take extra precautions now so we feel safe leaving our store front unattended. We believe installing the gate and curtains will help tremendously.
Please help us restore April in Paris and achieve the security needed.
In the past 20 years and we have never asked for help in this manner and we are humbled to ask for help today but we are just trying to stay afloat in these uncertain times. Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
