Medical Bills for April's Ovarian Cancer
Donation protected
My journey began in the spring. I scheduled a routine visit with my gynecologist, hoping to discuss "the change." After years of chronic pain and difficulty losing weight, I was losing weight and feeling better than I'd felt in years.
During that routine visit, my gynecologist recommended getting a extra tests, just to be sure.
Several tests and months later, my doctors determined I needed to undergo surgery: a radical hysterectomy.
The likelihood of cancer was very low, but not low enough. I was diagnosed with Clear Cell Carcinoma of the ovary on September 27, 2021.
Ovarian cancer is a beast to battle and considered a chronic illness ( I will continue to fight this the rest of my life).
I am currently undergoing 6 cycles of chemo every 21 days. Pain, surgery induced menopause, and meds has bumped our hope of someday buying a larger, better mattress, into a true need.
Our goal is to buy a king size bed, with cooling mattress, and possibly an adjustable base with massage to ease the pain .
