Help April Fight Stage 4 Cervical Cancer
$1,340 raised of $3K
My wife, April Renee Spurlin, was recently diagnosed with Stage IIIA cervical cancer, and our world turned upside down in an instant. We’re doing everything we can to get her the care she needs, but the truth is we’re struggling. This has all happened so fast, and we weren’t prepared for what came next.
Her doctors believe her cancer may actually be Stage IIIC1, because a pelvic lymph node appears to be involved. Treatment is starting very soon, and she will be going through concurrent chemoradiation in the coming weeks. We’re still trying to process all of this while preparing for what’s ahead.
April has applied for SSI and SNAP, and we’re working with the Patient Advocate Foundation to get any help we can. But these programs take time, and they won’t cover all of the immediate expenses we’re facing—medications, copays, transportation to treatment, and the basic bills we need to keep a roof over our heads.
I’m asking for help because we can’t do this alone. Anything you can give—no matter the amount—would mean more than I can express. And if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser truly helps. Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting April as we face this together.
