Introduction

They say we rescue dogs, but anyone who has met Apollo knows it was the other way around. During the darkest chapters of my life, Apollo was my reason to get out of bed. He didn't just provide comfort; he gave me my life back. He is a quirky, vibrant, and otherwise healthy soul who deserves every chance to keep wagging his tail.

A Sudden Turn

Apollo's world shifted during the Christmas season. What started as a slight wobble in Apollo’s back legs quickly progressed to a loss of function. After seeing a neurologist, we are facing a terrifying possibility: a spinal tumor.

The Mission: Diagnostics and Immediate Action

To save his mobility, we need to move fast. Because of the risks associated with anesthesia, the clinic performs his diagnostics and surgery as a single, streamlined event. This means we must have the entire estimated cost upfront.

Here is the plan for Apollo’s recovery:

MRI & Spinal Tap: To confirm the location and nature of the possible tumor.

Immediate Surgery: If a tumor is found, the surgeons will operate while he is still under to relieve the pressure and give him the best chance at walking again.

Recovery & PT: Any remaining funds will go directly toward his post-op medication and physical therapy to rebuild the muscle mass he has lost.

It is incredibly humbling to ask for help, but I have to do everything in my power for the boy who did everything for me. Apollo has spent his life being my anchor; now, I need to be his strength.
