Hi! I'm Apollo Rodriguez, a Criminal Justice and Protective Services student from Vinal Tech in Middletown, CT. This year, I participated in the annual SkillsUSA state competitions and brought home gold for Customer Service.

Students who win 1st place in their contest at the state level are invited to compete at the national level in Atlanta, Georgia. The SkillsUSA National Conference is a week-long event where competitors can network with fellow dedicated students from around the country as they compete.

Hearing from fellow students who attended nationals, it sounds like an amazing chance for professional development and a great learning experience, both things I value strongly. I would love to go compete in nationals, to represent my state, school, workplace, and myself.

Unfortunately, the costs associated with this trip are higher than I can meet. This experience is something that will not be possible without the support of others. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated!
