My sweet cat Apollo is more than just a pet—he’s my companion and a source of comfort, especially as I navigate life with a disability. Recently, in the middle of the night, Apollo swallowed one of his toys and needed emergency surgery to save his life. It was a terrifying experience, but I’m so grateful he made it through the operation and is now on the road to recovery.

However, the cost of his surgery has left me with a veterinary bill that I simply can’t afford to pay on my own. As someone living on a fixed income due to my disability, this unexpected expense is overwhelming. If I pay for Apollo’s care, I won’t be able to cover my own bills or basic needs.
