Help Save Apollo – My Angel & My Saving Grace
Apollo is not just my dog—he is my family, my best friend, my comfort, and my saving grace. He has been by my side through so much, bringing unconditional love, happiness, and comfort into my life every single day. He truly means the world to me.
Recently, I noticed Apollo slowing down and knew in my heart something wasn’t right. After taking him to the veterinarian, I received the devastating news that he had a large mass on his spleen and needed emergency surgery. It was one of the scariest moments of my life.
Apollo underwent emergency surgery, where doctors removed a 5-pound mass from his spleen, and he also needed a blood transfusion. While we are incredibly grateful he made it through surgery, we are still not out of the woods. The mass has been sent out for a biopsy, and we are anxiously waiting for answers and further testing to determine the type and extent of the cancer.
It was suggested to me that I start a GoFundMe. I struggled with the decision because asking for help is not easy, and I’ve had to swallow my pride and humble myself to do this. But Apollo means everything to me, and I will do whatever I can to give him the best chance at recovery and more time by my side.
The costs of his emergency surgery, hospitalization, continued monitoring, follow-up visits, medications, and aftercare are overwhelming. Any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward Apollo’s medical expenses and his journey toward healing.
If you are unable to donate, I completely understand. Prayers, sharing Apollo’s story, and keeping him in your thoughts mean just as much to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love, prayers, support, and kindness you have already shown Apollo and me during one of the most difficult times of our lives. We are taking this journey one day at a time, holding onto hope, and praying that my sweet boy can come home and return to his happy, loving self.
With love and gratitude,
Janelle & Apollo ❤️
