Help Apollo Beat Leukemia

Hello everyone,

My name is Leeann and I am reaching out on behalf of my beloved nephew, Apollo. Our little warrior Apollo, an adorable and bright 1-year-old boy, has been diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Our family’s world has been turned upside down with this devastating news we received on Christmas Eve, and we are rallying together to support Apollo through this incredibly challenging time. We are creating this GoFundMe page to ask for your support in helping Apollo fight this battle.

Apollo’s Journey:

On Friday, December 20, Apollo developed a fever. Jennilyn noticed some spots on his face under his eyes. On Monday, December 23,

Apollo went to his doctor’s appointment and had blood test done. Results were given the next day, December 24, Christmas Eve that Apollo had low hemoglobin, red blood cells, and platelets. He was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was immediately admitted to Oakland Kaiser Permanente Medical Center on the pediatric oncology ward to begin treatment. On Wednesday, December 25, Christmas Day, Apollo began blood transfusion due to having low platelets. The next day, Thursday, December 26, Apollo underwent a surgical procedure to his bone marrow. The surgery went well. He also began his first round of chemotherapy the same day.

The Road Ahead:

Apollo is a cheerful and curious child. He has a beautiful, infectious smile and he brings so much joy to our family with his playful personality. Despite his young age, he's already shown incredible resilience and strength. However, the road to recovery will be long and arduous, with countless hospital visits, treatments, and medical expenses.

The emotional and physical toll of this journey is beyond words, but the financial burden is also significant. We need your support to cover medical expenses, travel costs, and living expenses as Apollo and his family stay in the hospital for his treatment.
