Aloha! My name is Anna (most of you know me by Anya) and I created this page to help pay for medical expenses due to a blood clot in my brain.

Unfortunately, last month I had experienced an unbearable pain in my head that at first I thought was just a bad migraine. I continued to work while I was experiencing this pain, knowing in the back of my head that if I needed to go to the hospital I would not be able to pay for medical bills since I don't qualify for medical insurance. Due to the pandemic, the immigration process has been delayed, and I have been waiting over 3 years to become a U.S. citizen. Because of this, I was not able to qualify for medical insurance in Hawaii. Long story short, I ended up having to go to the emergency room at 4am because I couldn't take the pain any longer. They confirmed that I had a blood clot in my brain (which was very unusual for someone my age) and that if I had come in any later I could have easily had a stroke and died. I don't like asking for help, especially when it comes to money, but I am so worried that I will be in debt for the rest of my life because of this unpredicatible situation.
