This fundraiser is for Anya, our two-year-old Chihuahua fur baby. She was diagnosed with IVVD and she got injured, which caused her to lose sensation in her hind legs and made her incontinent. We couldn’t afford her surgery. However, with the generous donations we’ve received so far, we were able to start her on medications and acupuncture therapy to treat IVDD. Luckily the treatment started helping and she could take a few steps now but her hind legs are still failing her and she still is progressing with the incontinence. However, in hopes that she could start walking again with out pain or weaknes on her hind she needs to add physical therapy to her acupuncture treatment.
Anya is a hyper girl who would even dance for her treats. Therefore, at the moment, it’s very difficult to keep her still at times and prevent her from hurting herself.
Unfortunately, I am disabled, I cannot work at the moment, and my husband, who is the only one currently working, has missed work taking care of me because I recently had back-to-back surgery. Therefore, we don’t have the money to pay for her IVDD, which will be around $8,000 and because of our current income, we didn’t qualify for CareCredit. We would appreciate any help! I am not able to have kids, so Anya is our daughter. She deserves a fighting chance to be able to walk again and be her independent, hyper self. Thank you!
