I am Anya, a documentary filmmaker from Ukraine. I have been accepted to the DocNomadsPlus International Master's Program in Documentary Filmmaking. This is a two-year program where I will study in Portugal, Lithuania, and Belgium with students from around the world. I recently graduated from LCC International University with a degree in Contemporary Communication. This opportunity feels like God has opened a door that beautifully combines both my love for visual storytelling and my desire to serve Him among the nations.

For many years, I have wanted to serve God among different cultures and share the Gospel wherever He leads me. I also believe deeply in the power of documentary film. Stories can help people remember God’s goodness even in places of suffering. Right now, Ukraine needs truthful and trustworthy stories. In the middle of war, there are so many testimonies of faith, loss, resilience, and God’s presence that deserve to be shown in feature and short films. My dream is to create documentaries that share people’s life-changing testimonies with God and help others see His work even in dark times.

The biggest challenge right now is financial. The cost of this two-year program, including tuition, housing, travel, visas, living expenses, and film-related costs, is significant. My family is helping me take the first step, but I am also prayerfully raising support for this journey. The urgent need is covering the cost for the tuition of the first year, which is €7,500 ($8,600).
