Hello friends, family, and community,

My name is Anwar Cooper and I am currently enrolled in the Master’s in Teaching program at The Evergreen State College. My goal is to become a middle school teacher who can guide, inspire, and support the next generation of students.

Teaching is not just a career for me. It is a calling. I believe in the power of education to change lives and I am committed to being the kind of teacher who truly sees and uplifts every student, especially those who may feel overlooked.

Right now, I am facing a challenge that could slow me down. Because of how my program’s benefits and fellowship funding work, I am not eligible to use them for the summer quarter. I owe $3,500 for my summer tuition and fees, and until that is paid, I cannot register for my fall classes which start Sept 5. Without immediate help, I risk having to pause my studies, which would delay my journey to the classroom and my opportunity to serve students.

Your contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward paying my tuition so I can keep going without interruption. Time is short, but with your help I can get past this obstacle and stay on the path toward my goal.
