My name is Anurat Truatknok, and I have been a farmer in Waialua for the last ten years. Farming is not just my job—it’s my home and my way of life. Recently, my farm and I were hit hard by the Kona Low storm. I live on my 4-acre farm, and when the storm came, everything was flooded. All my crops, including long squash and long beans, were destroyed. My tractors and generators, which I rely on every day, are no longer working. While my cars and the main structure of my home survived, the roof is leaking and my entire livelihood has been swept away.
This farm is how I support myself, and losing everything so suddenly has been overwhelming. The funds raised here will go directly toward my most urgent needs to help me get back on my feet after the storm. Your support will help me start rebuilding what was lost.
Thank you very much for all your help and generosity. It means the world to me to know that people care and are willing to help. With your support, I can begin to recover and look forward to a brighter future.
