My cat Anubis is only a year and a half old, and he’s already fighting for his life. He’s the sweetest cat I’ve ever owned—he loves other animals, adores every human he meets, and brings so much joy to everyone around him. Right now, Anubis is at the emergency vet for the second day in a row due to a serious urinary blockage. The vets have been able to help him temporarily, but they’ve told me he’s at high risk of blocking again and will likely need a special surgery to prevent this from happening in the future.

This experience has been overwhelming both emotionally and financially. I spent everything I had at the emergency vet yesterday, and I’m back again today, desperately trying to save Anubis. If he blocks again, which could happen at any time, I simply don’t have the funds up front for the surgery he needs. My family and I have tried every option—Care Credit, Scratch, and more—but we’ve been denied. Finding a vet that offers payment plans has been nearly impossible, and I’m running out of options.

I know times are tough for everyone, but any donation, no matter the amount, would mean the world to me, Anubis, and our family. This situation has taken a huge toll on me—I haven’t eaten in days and my nerves are shot. I’m not too proud to ask for help when it comes to my animals.
