Let's help Antonio fight ALS

Hello Everyone,

Firstly, thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and consider the cause. Our employee, Antonio, has recently been diagnosed with ALS. Because of this heart-breaking situation, we are looking for every (and any) way to help him with these difficulties. We have found a clinic in the USA that specialises in neurological diseases such as ALS – The BodyScience clinic in Miami – but it requires over $7,500-$8,500 per week and would be ongoing, as the disease is incurable. As we want Antonio to get the best out of the treatment he receives, we are hoping to raise as much money as possible.

Who is Antonio?

Antonio has been working for L’Artista for 15 years. He has always been more than friendly to everyone, and has kept a smile on the face of all our employees and customers. He has brought love to L’Artista, meeting his wife here over a decade ago, and we all love Antonio and want to see him start to recover as soon as possible. He is 39 years old and a loving father and husband, having a wife and two children, aged 7 and 10.

Since he was diagnosed in September 2020, he is already bound to a wheelchair and completely unable to use his legs. In the short time he has been diagnosed, he is already having difficulties with basic tasks like eating and sleeping. His wife, Stefania, has been incredibly supportive of him and the family, but she is unable to work as Antonio now needs 24-hour care. Stefania has always been there for Antonio, especially through these difficult times, and has kept our morale up as we know that she will always continue to be the caring and supportive person that she is. Because of this, we want to give back to Stefania in the form of helping her husband in any way we can.

We all care about Antonio and understand how ALS brings a considerable financial burden upon his family, so we all want to see him secure in the fact that him and his family will be looked after. We know that many of our customers and employees feel the same, but because Antonio’s muscle mass is deteriorating quickly, he has a limited amount of time before he is unable to travel at all. Unfortunately, this treatment is not available in England, so time is of the essence, and we hope and pray that we can raise enough to see Antonio on his feet again.
