About a month ago, I was rushed to Mercy Hospital with severe pain in my intestines. After a series of CT scans, the doctors discovered a life-threatening infection and a large abscess in my intestines. I couldn't eat or drink, and I lost so much weight that I became skin and bone. The doctors told me I was on the edge of death, and I had to undergo major surgery right away. I am still healing, with staples holding me together, and every day is a struggle with pain and recovery.
Because of this medical emergency, I have not been able to work for the past month. I have almost nothing left in my bank account, and my phone was almost cut off while I was in the hospital. I just moved into a new place two months ago after living in my previous home for ten years, and now my rent is due again. Without help, I won't be able to pay my rent, buy food, or cover basic necessities like toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, and clothing. I also received a huge hospital bill that I have no way to pay, and I still need to return for more medical care. My immediate need is to stay housed and take care of daily essentials while I recover.
I have worked for the same company for 22 years, and I am doing everything I can to get back on my feet. Any support you can give is very much appreciated. If I can't pay my rent, I will lose my home and have nowhere to go, and all my belongings in storage will be at risk. Please, if you can, donate and help me get through this difficult time. Thank you so much for your kindness, and I hope you enjoy your holiday and have a happy New Year.
