Help Antonio During Cancer Treatment

Hello friends,

Antonio Barajas is our lead line cook at Baker & Commons. He was diagnosed with Leukemia this week and his chemotherapy treatment started yesterday.

Thankfully, he is at Kaiser in Oakland receiving some of the best care, but will be missing about 3 months of work while he continues his treatment.

Antonio is one of the best people I know. If you have come to the cafe for breakfast and lunch on Sundays through Thursdays, since November 2020 most likely he was the person who made your delicious meal. As a co worker, he is caring, efficient and precise in his work. His jovial spirit keeps us all laughing-even under stressful times.

We are raising money to support him while he is in the hospital for the next 3 months and to help with his ongoing expenses.
