Hi my name is Anton Phung also known as bboy LB. I have been living my passion for Breaking for 20 years now. I represent SMAC 19 (Sheffield) but currently living in Manchester.
I have been selected to be a part of TEAM GB to represent UK at WDSF World Championships in South Korea, 21st & 22nd October 2022. Unfortunately, the selection process meant the position is a "self-funded" athlete trip. This hindered my ability to represent UK in S.Korea. Therefore, I have to raise a target of £3000 to get there. Luckily, I have just received generous sponsorship from a healthcare company which will contribute £1250 towards the trip, meaning the target will only be £1750 left! I will be the first and only representative of North West/ South Yorkshire.
Breaking has been chosen as one of the new sports joining the lineup at the Paris 2024 Olympics. As part of the qualification process, there are key events taking place across the world which act as crucial milestones for aspiring B-boys and B-girls hoping to compete and represent their country. The next WDSF will be held in Seoul, South Korea, on 21st & 22nd October 2022. Being there will contribute to getting points to get to Olympics 2024!
This opportunity is huge, and it would be an honour to represent UK abroad. However, due to the lack of funding for the art/ sport. Therefore, your contribution will go towards flights and travel, accommodation, per diems for meals and additional covid testings.
Being in South Korea will be important to me, as it will allow me to represent my 20 years of hard work and passion and work towards achieving something unimaginable! All the experiences and knowledge I have gained over the years will be passed down to the next generation. This journey to be adding to it!
I hope by you supporting this cause will support the future of Breaking.
Love & respect!
