Help Antoinette Randolph On Her Cancer Journey
Donación protegida
Dear family, friends and well-wishers of Antoinette Randolph,
This fundraiser is set up to help Antoinette with medical and living expenses as she battles advanced-stage colon cancer.
As you might know, Antoinette (or “Toi” as many of us know her) has been facing a difficult series of life events. Last May she suddenly and tragically lost her only sibling, her sister Arsund, to Covid-19. Just six months later, she received news that she has advanced-stage colon cancer. Antoinette had emergency surgery earlier this year and is starting chemotherapy treatment to keep the disease from progressing. To see Antoinette facing both family tragedy and life-threatening illness in such rapid succession is nothing short of heartbreaking, but Toi has always been a survivor. If you know Antoinette, she is quick to take care of others, even before herself. Now we have a chance to show her how much she means to all of us and put her recovery, front and center.
Antoinette has a 12-year old daughter, Jamison, for whom she is the primary caretaker. Antoinette was working on her continuing education at USF in Tampa when she received the news about her cancer and has had to pause her career dreams to focus on her health. As she is the primary breadwinner in her family, her reduced employment has put her housing at risk and she is in need of a new, safe apartment where she can rest and heal.
For those who don’t know Antoinette personally – she is funny, thoughtful and of course, brilliant. She reads all the books, especially fiction. She loves her church. She makes beautiful jewelry. And most of all, she loves her daughter, Jamison. Toi and I became friends as children at playdates after church, or so I am told. The truth is, I don’t remember life before Toi – we go back that far. I consider myself lucky to have had her by my side for all these years.
I sincerely request you consider making a contribution to Antoinette’s GoFundMe drive and please help us spread the word about this fundraiser. Any size donation will be greatly appreciated. Funds generated will go to Antoinette and will be used for the immediate need to help Antoinette with her medical and housing expenses, as well as to support her daughter Jamison. Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, and support for Toi during this time.
