DWU Basketball player Anthony Riggans lost his mother Nette in a car accident on Saturday in Missouri. She was on her way to see her only child graduate from DWU.

It is now on Ant, who is 22 to plan his mother's funeral. Any donations will go to bring his mother home to Texas and offset costs to lay his mother to rest.

My name is Megan Luther and I am Anthony's host mom the last two years while he was in college at Dakota Wesleyan University. Nette stayed with us while visiting her son and we all spent Christmas together, a memory we will all cherish.

I drove Anthony back home in Texas on Sunday. We are working together to figure out adult logistics that no 22-year-old should have to think about. 100% of the funds will go to Anthony. A beneficiary account in Anthony's name has been set up at CorTrust Bank. The funds will be used to pay for transporting Nette from Missouri to her home in Texas. The money will also go towards burial expenses. Anything left over will be used for living expenses and will be kept in a fund for Anthony's future.
