Help Anthony Represent Jamaica U19 Rugby in Mexico

Hi, my name is Anthony. I am 17 years old (turning 18 in July), and I have been honoured with the opportunity to represent Jamaica’s Under-19 Rugby Team at the Rugby Americas North (RAN) tournament in Querétaro, Mexico, this July.

Rugby has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently play for Beckenham Rugby Club. The club has shaped not only my playing ability but also my character, teaching me discipline, resilience and teamwork.

I am proud to represent Jamaica on the international stage. This will be my first international tournament, and wearing the jersey means more than simply playing a sport. It represents culture, commitment and pride.

This summer, I will be travelling with a talented group of players from both the UK and Jamaica. We will come together as one team to represent Jamaica, bringing our shared passion, commitment and drive to every match.

We will be competing against strong teams including USA South, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.

Together, we aim to make history by becoming the first Jamaican team to win the RAN U19 trophy. This would put Jamaica firmly on the global rugby map and pave the way for future players.

Outside of rugby, I am committed to my education and will be starting university in September. I plan to continue playing rugby while studying and will give my best both on and off the pitch.

This is a dream come true, but it comes at a cost. Due to limited funding within the Jamaican Rugby Union, this opportunity is self-funded. I am aiming to raise approximately £2,000 to help cover travel, accommodation, kit and training expenses. I am still finalising the full breakdown of costs, but your support, no matter the amount, will make a real difference.
